Thomas W Doerner

Thomas Doerner grew up in the 1960s surrounded by snakes, inspired by his father’s passion. This early fascination led him to study biology and earn a PhD, laying the foundation for his lifelong interest in venomous animals. Despite a career in pharmaceutical marketing, he never abandoned his love for venomous animals and their care. For over 45 years, he has been dedicated to breeding and protecting these often misunderstood creatures. Today, he lives in southwest Germany and Namibia, where he actively works to conserve puff adders, scorpions, and other venomous species. His life is a tribute to these fascinating animals and their vital role in the ecosystem.
