eBooks Collection - Artwork finalization and conversion to electronic books in ePub, Mobi and PDF formats

This collection of books was designed in order to provide the knowledge to help diagramming professionals of many different segments. Thus allows them to produce eBooks in the ePub, Mobi and PDF formats, to be read and displayed by applications installed on desktop computers, notebooks, netbooks, smart phones and mobile phones, as well as eReaders and tablets such as iPad, Sony Reader, Nook, Kindle etc. Using the InDesign CS5 and CS5.5 as main tools, as well as some other utilities, this collection of books covers all concepts, technologies and procedures required to produce eBooks with quality. It is recommended that the user has knowledge of the InDesign intermediate level, but the most complex and important issues are described in this book. It is not required that the reader has knowledge of XML, XHTML and CSS, since the content of this volume is designed for a minimum use of these technologies. This first volume describes the concepts and features of the main formats, care, technical procedures, page elements elaboration, graphic design limits, diagramming good practices, as well as the techniques to convert the contents into ePub, Mobi and PDF formats. In this volume, we tried to stick to the InDesign capabilities/resources, and the minimum required editing of XML and XHTM codes. We shall use what is needed to obtain eBooks that may be validated and marketed by any distributors and online retailers of any size, from Amazon, Apple and Google Books to the smaller ones.
